The short version:
- I only collect what you choose to share with me: through the contact form, the Operational Friction Score, or by booking a call.
- I use it to respond to you, send your report and talk about working together.
- I never sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- Want it deleted? Just ask and I'll take care of it.
This policy explains how Outside Left Consulting, LLC ("Outside Left," "I," "me") handles information you share through this website. Outside Left is a one-person business based in Boise, Idaho, so when this policy says "I," that's me, Whitney.
What I collect
When you send the contact form: your name, email, business name and your message.
When you take the Operational Friction Score: your name, email and business name, plus your answers about how your business runs. That can include things like your team size, the tools you use, how you handle pricing, payments and bookkeeping, and where things get stuck. Every question beyond name, email and business name is optional, so share only what you're comfortable with.
When you book a call: booking happens through Calendly, which collects your name, email and anything you add to the booking form. Calendly's own privacy notice applies to that information.
Technical information: like most websites, the servers that run this site automatically see basic technical details such as your IP address and browser type. I use IP addresses only to limit repeat submissions and prevent spam.

- To prepare for and follow up on a discovery call
- To send you a proposal if we decide to work together
I won't add you to a mailing list without asking first.
Who helps me run this site
A few trusted services handle parts of the work. They get only what they need to do their job:
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Anthropic provides the AI that reads your diagnostic answers and drafts your report. Your answers are sent through Anthropic's business API, under its commercial terms.
- Resend delivers emails from this site, like your report and a copy of your answers to me.
- Calendly handles call scheduling.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site, which means your browser connects to Google to load them.
I don't sell, rent or trade your information. I'd only share it beyond these services if the law required me to.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If I add simple visitor counts in the future, I'll use a privacy-friendly tool and update this page.
How long I keep it
Your diagnostic answers and messages arrive in my business email. I keep them as long as they're useful for working with you or following up, and I'll delete them sooner if you ask. If you become a client, I keep records for as long as needed for my business and tax obligations.
Keeping it safe
I use reputable services, keep my accounts protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and only access your information to do the work you asked for. No system is perfectly secure, but I take protecting your business information seriously.
Your choices
You can ask me to show you what I have, correct it or delete it at any time. Just email hello@outsideleftconsulting.com or use the contact form, and I'll get back to you.
Kids
This site is for business owners and isn't meant for anyone under 18. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If I change how I handle your information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
